«Le Frêche à l’âne» camp site is situated in the heart of a typical Breton village whose historical interest related to the Knights Templar is still omnipresent. Other sites close by :
1 km away, the baie de La Fresnaye, a favourite spot for oyster, mussel and cockle fishermen…birdwatchers who observe the many migratory birds who pass by there, hikers who can discover here and there a port, a small protected cove, a tide mill, all in an unspoiled area.
 6 kms; the huge Vieux Bourg beach, surrounded by sand dunes
6 kms; Fort La Latte, well known Breton castle built on rocky promontory jutting into the sea, just in front of Cap Fréhel, hiker heaven…
Saint Cast Le Guildo, famous beach resort with its marina, seawater pool and huge beach, is but 10 kms away
The lagoon, casino and golf club of Sable d’or les Pins, also 10 kms away
12 kms and you’re in Erquy, with its wild promontory, fisherman’s port, beaches, Bien Assis Castle…
Lamballe, the College, Pond and stud farm, is 22 kms away
35 kms away is Dinan, famous for the medieval city walls where the annual ‘Rampart Festival’ is held
St Malo, fortified pirate town with the well known rampart walk is also 35 kms away
….Last but not least, Mont Saint Michel, only 80 kms away, ideal for a day’s excursion…
Day trips by boat are also possible to the "île de Bréhat" , to the Anglo-French islands of Jersey and Guernsey, or just a cruise along the coast under the steep cliffs, or up the Rance to Dinan …
For those more active, all sorts of water sports taking place in the vicinity can be proposed: sailing, sea kayak, scuba diving, sand-sailing…if you prefer riding, there are several riding centres in the region.
