If you want to discover Brittany, the Côtes d’Armor is a must. Follow the coastline from the Côte d’Emeraude to the Côte de Granit Rose, via the Cap Fréhel lighthouse. Dive into the heart of Brittany as you travel up the Rance to Dinan, along Lac de Guerlédan or visit the Hunaudaye forest and its castle in Côtes-d’Armor.
Visit the famous Fort La Latte, also known as Château de la Roche Goyon, dating from 1364. Not far from Cap Fréhel, a breathtaking panorama and an astonishing building.
The pink sandstone and shale cliffs of Cap Fréhel are over 70 metres high. Overlooking the sea, they offer one of the finest panoramas in Brittany. An extraordinary site, a bird sanctuary, let the trail guide you.
If you’re passing through, don’t forget to pay a visit to Cap d’Erquy! A rare place with a true nature of pink sandstone, pine forest and heather. Erquy, with its dozen or so fine sandy beaches, is the perfect place to relax, swim or play sports, with family or friends.
The many walks between heather and pine trees, accompanied by the sea breeze, make it even more pleasant to taste the scallops of which Erquy is the capital!
The Côtes d’Armor is just waiting for you! Whether you like running, riding, surfing or climbing, there’s something for everyone.
Paragliding in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, kitesurfing in the Bay of Lancieux, scuba diving in Erquy or sailing in Sables-d’or-les-Pins are just some of the leisure activities accessible from every corner of the département.
For the little ones, the Aquarium de Saint-Malo, the Zoo de Trégomeur and theaccrobranche at Saint-Cast-le-Guildo are perfect.
The Côtes d’Armor is also a great playground for fans of the medieval world: the Château de la Hunaudaye in the forest of the same name is a great place for families to discover the Middle Ages.
But also, the beautiful ruins of Château du Guildo overlooking the Arguenon valley, Fort-La-Latte, Dinan, all the way to Château de Tonquédec, one of France’s most impressive medieval ruins. The ruins of the castle fortress are 8.5 km from Lannion, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the Léguer valley.
Finally, explore mythical towns such as Saint-Quay-Portrieux, Jugon-les-Lacs, Dinan, Saint-Malo and Perros-Guirec to create unforgettable memories, not forgetting the island of Bréhat, the Baie de la Fresnaye, the Saint-Jacut de la Mer peninsula, the Vallée du Frémur or even the Vallée du Moulin de la Mer.
Artisans and producers invite you to discover the Breton terroir: breweries, cider makers, shellfish farmers and fishermen.
